I live in downtown Silver Spring, MD, and have lived in the Washington, DC area nearly my entire life.  I have two lovely daughters Jenny and Stephanie, and a wonderful stepdaughter Cathy and son-in-law Andrew. I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, reading, and antiquing with her husband.

Health and Wellness coaching is a passion of mine because of the connection I have with my clients. It’s so satisfying and rewarding seeing the progress and the growth they make, seeing the shift in energy levels from the first session to the last session, and seeing the vast learning that has occurred throughout the coaching relationship. My clients are full of wisdom and I have learned from them as well.

When I work with clients, it’s important to establish trust and a deep connection with them. I do this by listening to them talk through their issues in a safe, accepting and non-judgmental environment. This shows that I care deeply about their issues and that I support and empathize with them. It also cultivates a healing presence for the client and this presence helps them open up more, and as a result, they gain insight and awareness. They discover that they have choices, and which of those choices serve them well. In addition, I ask thought provoking questions to broaden their perspective and open them up to thinking about their situation in a different way. Once they gain insight and make the choices that serve them well, their self-efficacy increases. They then feel empowered to find the motivation to make the necessary lifestyle behavior changes and live closer to their life vision and to their full potential.

I mostly work with women and men ages 35+ with:

  • Preventing or mitigating chronic diseases
  • Stress management
  • Finding your passion
  • Improving eating and exercise habits
  • Balancing all areas of your life
  • Mindfulness practices
  • Life transitions
  • Coping with migraine
  • Challenging your inner critic
  • Self-care plan
