YOGA TEACHER

 

MY MISSION AND HOW I ORGANIZE CLASSES

Comprehensive practice of Yoga that includes the different modalities like Pranayama (breathing exercises), Asana practice (postures), and Meditation, not only helps us achieve physical benefits but also helps develop self- compassion, self-awareness, clarity, serenity, and empowerment. In my classes, I like to integrate all the aforementioned modalities to apply the ancient wisdom to our contemporary world in a useful and understandable way. In addition to teaching Yoga basics, I focus on alignment and creative sequencing for joyful and inviting mixed-level Hatha and Vinayasa yoga for everyone.

YOGA TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Since the completion of my YTT 200 training, I have been conducting small group classes and private classes in Washington DC Metropolitan Area. I have also been conducting free community classes as a service at various locations. References available on request.

 

 

ABOUT ME

I began learning yoga at a very young age in an esteemed gymnasium ‘Shree Samarth Vyayam Mandir’ (Mumbai, India) which had a school of yoga. Since then it has been an integral part of my daily life. My personal practice has helped me grow stronger — it has been transformative both on and off the mat, and it inspires me to live each moment more mindfully. I have always wanted to share my practice and deepen my knowledge through continued education. With the completion of Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training (Hatha Yoga, inspired by ParaYoga founded by Yogarupa Rod Stryker), I am a globally certified yoga instructor.
